How close are the fires to Dublin?  I thought they were northeast of Vallejo.

All over the area.  My friends aren’t directly threatened, but they live at the base of Mt. Diablo and the smoke gets pushed inland and clings.  Air quality is miserable.

Fuuuuuck, that’s million times worse than I thought. Before I moved back to the Midwest, my last 4 years were in the East Bay — Dublin for a year and Pleasanton for 3. Didn’t expect to see fires near Mt. Diablo. Sunol Grade is kinda of expected. Seeing brush fires on I-680 was “normal”.
